Digital Role Models
Learning Activity
We all want students to use technology appropriately -- as a research tool, as a way to communicate, and a way to create content -- and expect them to be fully engaged in hands-on, unplugged classtime, too. Model these expectations by staying off of your computer or device during class activities. Similarly, make sure you're following the same safety and sharing guidelines online that you expect them to follow. Show them how to use the Internet for good, (and how to avoid the bad) by being a digital role model.
Review the resources and then answer the following questions.
- What it means to be a digital role model?
- Do you consider yourself a digital role model? Why or why not?
