Practicing and teaching digital citizenship is important, but like any subject, our students aren't always starting on an even playing field. A person's ability to learn something is always influenced by their background and access to information. When it comes to teaching tech, it's important to remember that some of your students' families might not have the means to purchase a home computer -- and these students might not have "logged on" until they stepped into your classroom.
