Learning Activity

A vast number of people now regularly use social media, both for personal and business reasons. We communicate, shop, research, and more through Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and various other social media offerings. However, both educators and students must be aware of the need to use social media responsibly and the impact that using it can have on your personal and professional life.

In this activity, you will explore some guidelines for using social media for both teachers and students.

Explore the resources below and then write a 4-5 sentence reflection on how you feel you currently use social media, is there anything you would change about your use. Explain how as an educator you can ensure that you set an example to your students about responsible use. In addition, include two key points you would emphasize to students about using social media.
