Classroom: Go paperless with Google Classroom

456 Learners | 459 Completed Lessons | 344 Hours of Learning Time

Learning Activity

Worksheets, handouts, and notebooks have been an integral part of the classroom for decades. With digital tools like Google Classroom, schools can work to reduce paper consumption without sacrificing educational quality.

Go paperless for one week, using Classroom and other online tools. If you aren't teaching in a 1:1 classroom, consider going paperless for assignments and student resources, posting information in your Classroom instead of creating handouts.

  • Notetaking: Encourage students to use Docs, or create digital interactive notebooks with Slides.
  • Resource sharing: Upload resources to Classroom assignments, or send them in a class-wide e-mail.
  • Communications: Use Hangouts or other communication apps to keep in touch with your colleagues.
  • Worksheets: Use Docs to create worksheets that not only reduce paper consumption, but increase interactivity (like HyperDocs).
