Bully Prevention (BP-PBIS) is a program with the PBIS framework which aims to improve the school climate by decreasing the occurrence of problem behavior.

In BP-PBIS, the primary intervention method for accomplishing this is a 3-step response to problem behavior called "Stop / Walk (Away) / Talk." In this strategy, students who are on the receiving end of disrespectful or bullying behavior are taught the following:

  1. Stop - Tell the perpetrator to "Stop" while demonstrating the designated stop gesture;
  2. Walk - Walk away from the perpetrator; and
  3. Talk - Talk to an adult immediately if the problematic behavior continues.

Review the resources to learn more about the "Stop / Walk / Talk" and the explicit instruction regarding this strategy for bullying prevention.
