Google Educator Groups and PLNs
Learning Activity
Google Educator Groups (GEGs) are vibrant communities where educators come together to learn, share, and inspire one another in leveraging technology to meet students' needs, both within the classroom and beyond its walls. These groups foster a collaborative environment where teachers can grow their professional learning networks (PLNs) by connecting with local peers who share similar interests and aspirations.
Joining a GEG is a great way to expand your professional learning network (PLN) by putting you in touch with local educators who share similar interests. But your PLN doesn't have to be limited to your city or state -- use other tools like Google+, Twitter, or Voxer, to connect with professionals from all over the world.
Find and join the Google Educator Group closest to you and explore their page. Identify 2-3 posts or events that interest you. Explore other resources and tools you could use to expand your PLN.
