Protecting the private information of students is a legal, ethical, and safety issue. As an educator, your use of this student's private information allows you to better serve students by supporting their needs and guiding them towards success. Whether your access to student information occurs as a result of a school management system or EdTech apps, the acquisition of private student information by malicious parties can result in:
- Student grades being changed;
- Email accounts or educational service being taken over;
- Reputational harm being caused to the student;
