Sometimes it may be helpful to mute the sound on a student or group of students iPads. In addition, you can also lock student devices to aid learning, i.e. to prevent distraction during class discussions.

Locking Student Devices

1. To lock devices, select a student, a group of students, or your entire class, then tap Lock. Tap Unlock to unlock devices.
2. The screen will be locked on all student devices, and students will not be able to access them until the devices are unlocked again.
