The Effective Behavioral Support Survey (also known as a PBIS Self-Assessment Survey) is a tool to assess the effectiveness of the behavior support systems in their school. The survey examines the status of and need for improvement of three behavior support systems: (a) school-wide discipline, (b) non-classroom management systems, and (c) systems for individual students engaging in chronic behaviors.

For this activity, read through the resource document linked below to gain a better understanding of how these surveys are used, how the results are analyzed, and how the summary of results can be used for action planning.

When you’re done, print and complete the ‘Effective Behavior Support Survey from either the PBIS link or the PBIS Assessment webpage.
