PBIS for at-Risk Students
Learning Activity
Tier 2 provides interventions and supports for at-risk students. These students are identified in a number of ways; teacher nomination as a result of observations and interactions, school data, and universal screenings.
Characteristics of these students can include:
- the perception that school is boring
- feeling disconnected from the school environment
- excessive tardiness
- low academic expectations, performance, and skill development
- economic disadvantage
- limited English proficiency
- and unstable and/or unsupportive family home
