Email is a powerful communication tool, and every email we send in a professional setting matters. So it's important to remember common etiquette when thinking about how you are using your email.

Explore the articles below to learn more about when you should use Bcc, CC, Reply and Reply All. For security and privacy reasons, it is best to use the Blind Carbon/Courtesy Copy (BCC) feature when sending an email message to a large number of people. When you place email addresses in the BCC field of a message, those addresses are invisible to the recipients of the email.

In addition, avoiding Reply All is generally the best option, especially on mass emails. Reply All is when you respond to everyone on the thread. Other recipients will see a message you Reply All to, whether they're in the "To" or "Cc" fields. But as you'll see from the emails below it's usually best avoided.
