Canvas provides an intuitive Quiz tool that enables instructors to create and deliver online quizzes, surveys, exams, and assessments for their courses. The process of developing the actual quiz content remains consistent regardless of the specific quiz type being used.

The available quiz types in Canvas include:

• Graded Quiz: This quiz type allows instructors to assign points and a score to assess students' performance.
• Practice Quiz: Ungraded quizzes that students can use for reviewing and practicing the material.
• Graded Survey: Similar to a graded quiz, but tailored for gathering data and insights through survey questions.
• Ungraded Survey: Surveys without any scoring, useful for collecting feedback or opinions.

Additionally, Canvas offers a Course Import Tool that streamlines the process of transferring course materials from previous terms into current courses. This tool simplifies reusing content, assignments, and previously created quizzes across different course instances, saving instructors time and effort.

In the question type drop-down menu, you can create the following types of quiz questions:

• Multiple Choice
• True/False
• Fill-in-the-Blank
• Fill-in-Multiple-Blanks
• Multiple Answers
• Multiple Drop-down (can be used for Likert scale)

1. To create an assignment, click on Quizzes on the course navigation.
2. Then click on +Quiz.
3. The next step is to fill out the necessary fields.
