Disproportionality is the over or under-representation of a group within a category. Although the issue of disproportionality in discipline is bigger than schools, who better to help solve the problem than teachers? This issue isn't present in all disciplinary situations, however, some situations are more vulnerable to the effects of implicit bias in disciplinary decisions.
