You can use Drop Caps feature in Pages to make the first letter or word of a paragraph stand out.
Follow the steps below in a new document, using drop caps on your text. Upload your Pages document under Record Achievement.

Add a drop cap
Tap to place the insertion point inside the paragraph that you want to begin with a drop cap.
Tap
, then turn on the Drop Cap setting at the bottom of the menu. Choose the style of Drop Cap you would like to use.
