PBIS: What is Tier 3 PBIS?
Learning Activity
PBIS Tier 2 support aims to provide small-group support to at-risk students who aren’t responding to Tier 1 support. Tier 3-level support takes this a step further and provides intense, individualized support for students who have an extensive history of academic and behavioral difficulties over an extended period of time. The goal of this tier is to “accurately identify these students and design appropriate supports to teach and sustain the desired replacement behaviors” (Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports, 2018).
