Learning Activity

During the 'Evaluate' phase of the 5Es model, the student's grasp of the science topic is evaluated by the student through self-assessment and by the teacher through formal and informal assessments. This element of the model allows the teacher to determine if the learner has attained understanding of concepts and knowledge as well as evaluate their own teaching strategies and the effectiveness of the unit.

Teachers can evaluate students' understanding by using activities and tools such as self-assessments for students to complete, rubrics, student interviews, portfolios, worksheets, and tasking students with constructing a 3D model.
